October 2023: When Everything Changed
Hi! I'm SarahMarie. In October 2023, I started my GLP-1 journey weighing 270 pounds (I’m 5’8” with a MC4R CC Obesity Gene to battle). As of today in October of 2025, I’ve lost over 100 pounds with about 10 more to go to reach my goal! What I didn't expect along the way was how hard it would be to get proper nutrition when most foods sounded blah and convenient protein options were the last thing I could even consider craving.
Additionally, my college age step-kids obsess over protein, my friends are ravenous for it, for energy, aging, recovery - everyone is on a protein wave! But let's be honest - we're all done with meh bars, chalky powders, and shakes with ingredient lists longer than the extended forecast.
The Breakthrough
My co-founder is an award-winning Registered Dietitian and Food Scientist, for now she is staying behind the scenes (but trust me - she creates the formulation magic in every single pop). This past January (2025) we were on a retreat together in Costa Rica, taking a bus to our eco-lodge talking about protein, she said, "What if we could make protein feel like refreshment?"
